We do not stage a day. We keep it.

Every frame below is a real evening someone lived. Scroll and the film runs. Stop, and it becomes a photograph.

Studio

Four of us. One rule: nobody looks at the camera unless they mean it.

ANANTA began in a Goa courtyard in 2014 with one borrowed body and a roll of expired stock. We photograph in the light a day already has. We do not move a chair, a grandmother, or a moment. Weddings are loud, unrepeatable and slightly out of control, and every attempt to tidy them costs the only thing worth keeping.

We work in Hindu, Christian, Nikah, Sikh, Jewish and civil ceremonies — and in the long unglamorous hours between them, which is usually where the picture is. We travel. We stay to the end. We deliver in eight weeks.

  • iAvailable light, always.
  • iiThe mother of the bride is the story.
  • iiiNever ask anyone to do it again.
  • ivLeave the argument in the edit.

The archive

The ten most recent. Hover a line and it remembers itself — the photograph, the date, and a way to ask about a day like it.

Say the date

Tell us the date and the light. We will tell you if we are free.

hello@ananta.studio

We take ten weddings a year and answer everything within two days. Dates are held on a signed date, not a maybe.
